This Weeks Movie, Coming to Theaters Soon and Oscar

With the Winter Box Office on a rise, up 11% in Jan. 2012, I am looking at the New releases that are coming out to Movie Theaters near you.  The two today are "The Vow" with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams

I have mixed feelings on this one. I love the true story of the Carpenters. However, it is the "Blindside" of romantic dramas. Would I be able to drag my husband to this? Oh, heck NO...It is like the "Notebook", It is a great date or girls night out movie. So far Rotten Tomatoes has the critics at 30%, (a miss) however, movie-goers are happy at 82%. The Hollywood Reporter also has mixed feelings. The acting is very good. Tatum and McAdams certainly deliver. If you like a good love story this is for you.

The Second Movie is "Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance" Nicholas Cage returns as the dark Marvel hero Johnny Blaze, a.k.a Ghost Rider, and faces off against the Devil himself in "Spirit of Vengeance," sequel to the 2007 movie.

This one comes out this Friday Feb. 17th. So far it is a must see/Get your tickets now! This was reviewed by some chosen few at Comic Con. Of course, they loved, loved it. This one is better than the original, which I found entertaining in 2007. More of EVERYTHING....Bigger and Better...More Action. With the director of the "Crank" movies and Nicholas Cage being well, Nicholas Cage, who could ask for a better must see movie? Talk in the industry is there is already plans for a Ghost Rider 3.

Now for the Oscars: Today I will give you the trailer on the movie I believe will win best picture. The French comedy - drama film "The Artist".  A French comedy - drama film.  I will comment on it in a couple days.

Although this is a funny and unique look at old Hollywood and I loved the film it is not the film I want to win. I love "Moneyball" but I am not a betting woman, and odds are against them. The love that Brad Pitt had for the project is much like the true Hollywood experience. It is all a process, from the love of the script, the first dollar raised and the rewards of seeing it effect movie goers the same way it did for you. Plus, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, take a niche subject and turn it into a sharp, funny, and touching portrait worthy of baseball lore. Jonah Hill's acting ability was AMAZING! Who knew he could get rid of the comedy stereotype...guess Pitt and Hill did.

Keep checking in there will be more Oscar talk and Movie reviews to come...

KNOW IT, LOVE IT, AND LIVE IT !!!!!
